Strategic Alliances

To ensure that we deliver the most robust and reliable set of networking solutions to our customers, SBE cultivates and maintains strategic sales, marketing, and technology-focused relationships with a variety of corporations and organizations worldwide.

NComm offers an expanding set of Wide Area Network telecom source code (TMS), and custom consulting services, that completely address all of the overhead functions needed to place and maintain a WAN interface in the network; included in this are Configuration, Alarms, Maintenance/Performance Monitoring and CAS signaling. NComm offers complete software solutions for T1, E1, T3, E3 and SONET/SDH including Linear Automatic Protection Switching, PRI ISDN and Sync Status Message management. Pre-ports are offered for Linux, VxWorks, OSE and Nucleus Plus. NComm’s TMS is included with selected SBE WAN cards.

EmBoot delivers solutions that reduce the cost and complexity of administrating servers, desktops, POS terminals and embedded systems. As network boot pioneers, emBoot has applied its expertise by enabling boot from iSCSI SAN using the Microsoft iSCSI initiator and standard Ethernet adapters; storage management is greatly simplified by relocating all storage resources from the client to the SAN.

Founded in 2001, Neterion Inc. has locations in Cupertino, California and Ottawa, Canada. Neterion delivers 10 Gigabit Ethernet hardware & software solutions that solve customers’ high-end networking problems.

The Xframe(r) line of products is based on Neterion-developed technologies that deliver new levels of performance, availability and reliability in the datacenter. Xframe, Xframe II and Xframe E include full IPv4 and IPv6 support, and comprehensive stateless offloads that preserve the integrity of current TCP/IP implementations without “breaking the stack.” Xframe drivers are available for all major Operating Systems, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, Hewlett-Packard’s HP-UX, IBM’s AIX, Sun’s Solaris and SGI’s Irix.

SBE and Signalogic are collaborating to develop VoIP products featuring Texas Instrument’s programmable Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) with Telogy Software® and Wintegra’s WinPath network processor to enable integration of voice, data, and fax.

SBE is an active member of Sun Microsystems’ iForce and Solaris Ready partner programs. In addition, SBE supplies a variety of SCSI, Gigabit Ethernet and I/O adapters to Sun Professional Services and other Sun-based organizations.

In a collaborative effort, SBE and TimeSys, a pioneer and leader in Embedded Linux and Java development technologies, have teamed to provide the high-performance and modularity of the HighWire carrier-class core processing platform with the scalable computing power of TimeSys Linux GPL and cross-platform development tools. TimeSys® Corporation provides the only complete line of Linux development tools that support the entire embedded Linux development and test cycle, as well as Linux development kits that make it easier for developers across all industries to leverage the benefits of Linux in embedded systems.

AdvancedTCA (ATCA) Partner Program

Concurrent Technologies

Established since 1985, Concurrent Technologies specializes in designing, manufacturing and supporting VME and CompactPCI single board computers using Intel or Motorola processors, together with a wide range of PMC modules. A range of boards operating at extended temperatures are also available. The products are used in many applications including medical, defence, aerospace, industrial and telecommunications. Popular operating systems, including real-time versions, are supported.

Diversified Technology

SBE and Diversified Technology formed an agreement which allows DTI to deliver more robust AdvancedTCA (ATCA) system level platforms to the telecommunication and networking marketplace. DTI’s Targa series of AdvancedTCA solutions will be integrated with multiple SBE network interface cards to build powerful ATCA platforms for service provider and enterprise level applications.
